GMC’s HOME HEALTH CARE PROGRAM is now here. We all want to provide the best care for our loved ones but sometimes, it’s hard to do that when you’re at home and there is no professional healthcare provider to guide or help you.

GreenCity Medical Center understands that people feel the most at ease in the safety of their homes that is why we created a program that offers home care services as well as private duty nurses to patients who want to experience professional healthcare at the convenience of their homes. With the wide array of services that can be done to patients at home, transporting your loved-ones to the hospital will no longer be necessary for simple procedures such as IV-insertion, basic newborn care, blood extraction, and wound dressing among others.

You may call or message Ms. Racel thru 0932-998-8199 or Ms. Rochel using 0922-296-1921 for more details and other inquiries regarding this program.

A: NO. Pacemaker insertions are simple, minor procedures using only local anesthesia and mild sedation. It can even be done while you are awake! It involves a small incision under the collar bone where the pacemaker will be situated. A patient with a pacemaker can live a normal life and requires only semi-annual pacemaker checkups. This will ensure that the device will function at its peak and for the battery to last to more than 10 years.

At GreenCity Medical Center, our IBHRE Certified Cardiac Device Specialist, Peter Carlo Nierras, MD, FPCP, FPCC, has successfully implanted two (as of this writing) pacemakers and also holds a pacemaker clinic at our Institution. Come talk to us today!

The Philippine Heart Association Central Luzon Chapter, in partnership with GreenCity Medical Center, has celebrated World Heart Day at the 6th-floor function room of GreenCIty. It was a day meant to encourage people to commit to a healthy heart lifestyle.

The celebration consisted of different activities such as free ECG, ABI, blood tests, as well as a free consultation with the cardiologists. These were followed by lay fora, wherein the topics discussed were Atrial Fibrillation (AF) and Angina awareness and implications of having diabetes to the heart's health. An AVP was, likewise, shown on the benefits of quitting smoking. The event also emphasized the importance of the fit heart minute, which aims to show people that no matter how busy you are, you only need a minute to move and raise your heart rate to keep your body healthy.

In conjunction with the World Heart Day celebration, GreenCity Medical Center also organized a bloodletting event for the participants as well as non-participants willing to donate blood. The practice of blood donation not only benefits the recipients of the blood but the donors as well. According to an article published in the American Journal of Epidemiology, regular blood donors are less likely to suffer from cardiovascular diseases such as heart attack and strokes as well as maintain a healthy liver. After donating, the body stimulates the production of new blood cells to replenish the lost blood which helps in the maintenance of good health.

GreenCity has a blood bank located in the Laboratory Department, upper ground Floor of GreenCity Medical Center ready to facilitate a walk-in donor from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Be a hero, donate your blood. A single person's kindness can save 3 lives.

The hospital that will change the landscape of healthcare in Central Luzon has arrived. GreenCity Medical Center was inaugurated on the 18th of May 2019 and officially opened its doors to serve the community the day after the next. The event was kicked off by a motorcade to 4 different destinations and promptly followed by the blessing and ribbon cutting ceremony where the unveiling of GreenCity’s marker was led by Vice President Leni Robredo.

Dr. Noel de Guzman led the invocation of the program after which Dr. Hazel Penafiel welcomed the guests with a brief history of GreenCity and the inspiration behind the founders’ drive to construct a hospital of their own. This culminated to Dr. Virgilio Pantig’s introduction of Vice President Leni Robredo whose inspirational speech highlighted the importance of making quality healthcare accessible; a cause close to the heart of GreenCity’s founders.

The evening was capped off with an exciting party where local artists such as Mr. Rey Valera serenaded and entertained the crown. That day was both a celebration of all the efforts put into the building of the hospital and a reminder of the journey the institution is about to embark on.
